Barco stands behind quality commitment with five-year warranty on all diagnostic display systems |

RSNA Annual Meeting, Chicago, USA, 25 November 2007 – Medical imaging leader Barco has announced that from 1 January 2008 onwards its full range of color and grayscale diagnostic display systems will come standard with a five-year warranty. Barco is the first vendor to offer this level of warranty on its full PACS display offering.
Since the introduction of the first LCD-based Coronis display system more than 6 years ago, Barco’s diagnostic solutions have earned a reputation for reliability in radiology reading rooms around the world. By extending the standard warranty to five years, Barco strengthens its commitment to quality for the diagnostic imaging community.
Barco’s five-year warranty will be applied to the complete Nio and Coronis product families, including 2MP, 3MP, 4MP, 5MP and 6MP systems, both in color and grayscale. Unlike most other vendors, Barco also covers the Liquid Crystal Display (LCD) panels. The long-term warranty will be backed by Barco’s existing support organization which operates locally on every continent.
In combination with Barco’s MediCal QAWeb quality assurance solution, Barco’s extended warranty policy will lead to enhanced diagnostic precision and confidence for many years with a lower total cost of ownership. MediCal QAWeb is Barco’s web-based quality assurance system that comes standard with all Nio and Coronis diagnostic display systems. It delivers a full array of services, including automated QA, DICOM calibration and remote assistance if needed.
